Project Overview
This project was the second in an emerging partnership with a local solar technology startup in Austin TX. Yotta selected Axis given our detailed knowledge of the local solar market and approval process. Axis worked closely with Yotta and Austin Energy to assist in qualifying new inverter and battery technology with Austin Energy rebate program. There are further projects in the pipeline with Yotta to deliver in 2023 & 2024.
Axis Solar has been wonderful to work with. They communicated frequently and kept us apprised of the project’s progress at every step including issues and timelines. They were responsive to questions and are assisting in gathering required documentation for the federal direct pay incentives program.

Project Q/A
Axis Solar: What were the primary factors that led the Texas County District Retirement System to consider solar energy?
TCDRS: TCDRS is looking for ways to lessen our environmental impact while reducing energy costs for ourselves and our tenants.
Axis Solar: Were there any specific goals, like cost savings or energy independence, that you aimed to achieve with solar energy?
TCDRS: TCDRS is looking for ways to lessen our environmental impact while reducing energy costs for ourselves and our tenants.
Axis Solar: Were there any specific challenges or requirements that made Axis Solar & Yotta Energy stand out as the best choice for this project?
TCDRS: Yotta Energy’s solution is safer and more efficient than other solutions on the market. We appreciate the individual converters at each solar array reducing the inherent risks of funneling the collected energy to one larger converter. We also like the ability of the system to absorb energy from light reflecting off the roof onto the back of the panels.
Axis Solar: Can you describe your experience with the installation process handled by Axis Solar?
TCDRS: Axis Solar has been wonderful to work with. They communicated frequently and kept us apprised of the project’s progress at every step including issues and timelines. They were responsive to questions and are assisting in gathering required documentation for the federal direct pay incentives program.
Axis Solar: How did Axis Solar address any challenges or unexpected issues during the installation?
TCDRS: There were a few challenges during the installation of the solar panels. The major obstacle was a system communication issue caused by cellular towers also located on the building’s roof. Axis and Yotta worked diligently to remediate the issues to ensure the success of the project and acceptance by the City of Austin.
Axis Solar: How satisfied are you with the overall outcome of the solar installation project?
TCDRS: TCDRS is very satisfied with the outcome of our solar installation project.
Axis Solar: Would you recommend Axis Solar (and Yotta Energy’s solutions) to other institutions or organizations? Why?
TCDRS: Yes, TCDRS would recommend Axis Solar and the Yotta Energy’s solution to other organizations for all the reasons stated above.
